1. outline
The 2nd Indonesian president , dictator , and massacre .
He suppressed the Indonesian Communist Party 's coup that took place on September 30, 1965 (fabricated and under the pretext of this), overpowered the first President Sukarno , became acting president on March 12, 1967, and officially became president on March 27, 1968, taking power for a whopping 31 years until he resigned from the presidency due to protests on May 21, 1998. He reigned as the dictator of Indonesia. During his period of power, he ruled with an iron fist, leading to numerous human rights violations, and in the process, between 500,000 and 1,200,000 political opponents and opponents were killed.[4] They were also mercilessly massacred .
To date, evaluations of Suharto within Indonesia are quite mixed ; some view him as a leader who helped grow Indonesia's economy.[5] , some people receive conflicting evaluations that he was not only one of the worst massacres after World War II, having massacred millions of people, but also engaged in illicit enrichment and corruption.[6]

3.1. diet
Contrary to his corruption, his eating habits were very simple, and it is said that he was so simple that most ministers and officials were surprised to see him.[7] Suharto did not like extravagant food, and instead served sayur rode with warm rice and fried freshwater fish;[8] Sayur Bayam,[9] He liked grilled fish and ate teal to prevent cholesterol , and among meat dishes, he liked meatball vermicelli and lamb satay . These foods are mostly home-cooked meals commonly eaten in Indonesia.
And Suharto especially liked Tahu Tempe Bassem so much that he even visited it during mealtimes abroad.[10] He also likes to eat cup noodles as a snack and meal preparation, and he liked to serve cup noodles Pop Mie to guests, including ministers. Suharto's enjoyment of simple meals despite amassing a huge fortune seems to have been influenced by his poor childhood.

[1] It is a notation influenced by Dutch orthography. After the revision of the Indonesian orthography in the 1970s , it was read as 'Soharto', and if you wanted to read it as 'Suharto', it would be correct to write it as Suharto, but I preferred Soeharto.[2] Also known as 'Haji Mohammad Soeharto', 'Haji Mohammad' is a title he gave after making a pilgrimage to Mecca in 1991, and is not part of his official name. His official name is simply 'Suharto'. Since Javanese do not have surnames and often use single-word first names, titles in front of them are often misunderstood as part of the official name.[3] 1st Acting President (March 12, 1967 ~ March 27, 1968)[4] Even groups that had done nothing wrong, such as ethnic Chinese, were massacred as a ploy to divert public anger and attention from the government.[5] On the contrary, some say that it was the cause of the collapse of the Indonesian economy. In fact, it is true that Indonesia's per capita GDP was halved in 1997 and 1998, and it is also true that Suharto stepped down because of this economic crisis. Thanks to this, the Indonesian economy recovered from the chaos in the 2000s and grew faster than before.[6] Coincidentally, there is a similarity with Syngman Rhee, the first president of the Republic of Korea. Both Syngman Rhee and Suharto were former independence activists, and were heads of state who lived quite long lives, up to 90 and 86 years old, respectively, even by contemporary standards.[7] In fact, even among dictators who are notorious for extravagance, such as Adolf Hitler , Ferdinand Marcos , Nicolae Ceauşescu , and Robert Mugabe, it is not uncommon for them to have a simple diet centered on vegetarianism. (Also, unless the country is suffering from severe food shortages, they do not eat meat. Even if you enjoy eating it, unless you choose to eat expensive parts, it is considered a simple diet, so if you combine these people, there will be more people. Warren Buffett, who will be described later, is also said to have a simple diet, but he maintains a meat-centered diet.) In fact, you can see just by looking at Warren Buffett . Even if today's wealthy/powerful people live simply or indulge in luxury, it is common for them to have a simple diet, and the third generation of the Kim clan and Mobutu Sese Seko are special cases.[8] Sayur lodeh, vegetable soup in coconut milk[9] Sayur bayam, a clear soup flavored with ginger, a vegetable soup made mainly of vegetables such as amaranth[10] In fact, Sukarno, his predecessor, also liked fried tempeh, and there is an anecdote related to this. When Sukarno was serving as president, he received tempeh from a flight attendant while flying over Latin America on a Pan American Airlines plane . After returning to his homeland, Sukarno, who was deeply impressed by the film, declared to Indonesians, 'Let's take pride in Indonesian products and not beg abroad'.[11] English title behind 98[12] May 21, 1998. Resignation from the presidency
