1. outline

A country located in South America . The capital is Bogotá . The territory lies across the equator .

Brazil and Argentina on the same continent seem relatively small because they have such a large land mass, and they are low-latitude countries that suffer when drawn using the Mercator projection , which makes the area look larger the higher you go, but it is a large country with an area about three times that of Germany . Based on the population, it exceeds 50 million people, which is almost the same population as South Korea in terms of population ranking by country , making it the 28th most populous country in the world as of 2023 , the 2nd largest population in South America and the 3rd largest population in all of Central and South America after Brazil and Mexico .

The racial composition is like other South America countries, and like other South America countries, even if it is not mixed, the race is separated by mestiso when the racial survey is answered. Anyway, this is the same, the same format in Brazil and Mexico.

It became a member of the OECD in 2020 , but it is surprising to see that even advanced countries with higher per capita income, such as Uruguay , have not yet joined the OECD.[8] In particular, Colombia is the country with the second largest population in South America after Brazil, so its economic scale is much larger than that of Uruguay or Costa Rica. However, because there are many shortcomings in many aspects,[9] It appears that he will soon become the new bottom member to replace Mexico .

The country was once known for its corrupt drug cartels, and many of the cartels created back then are still active today, supplying drugs around the world.

National Anthem of the Republic of Colombia (accompaniment)

vocal

The national anthem is "National Anthem of the Republic of Colombia" (Himno Nacional de la República de Colombia). The national anthem was written in 1887 by then-President Rafael Núñez and composed by his friend, Italian opera singer Oreste Sindici. It is also said to be taken from the lyrics of the first verse, ‘Oh, immortal glory!’ (¡O, gloria inmarcesible!).

Although up to two verses are sung at official occasions, the official anthem in the video above is long, with as many as 11 verses.
Usually, the refrain is sung first, and after the verse, the refrain is sung again and the next verse is sung.

The lyrics are as follows.
Original language (Spanish)
Korean interpretation
refrain
|: ¡Oh gloria inmarcesible!
¡Oh júbilo inmortal!
En surcos de dolores
el bien germina ya.[10] :|
|: O immortal glory!
O immortal joy!
In the confines of pain
Happiness is sprouting now. :|
Section 1
Cesó la horrible noche,
la libertad sublime
derrama las auroras
de su invencible luz.
La humanidad entera,
que entre cadenas gime,
comprende las palabras
del que murió en la cruz.
The night of terror is now over,
noble freedom
of that immortal brilliance
It emits an aurora
suffered in chains
everyone
died on the cross
I understand his words.
Section 2
"Independencia"grita
El mundo americano:
Se baña en sangre de héroes
La tierra de Colón.
Pero este gran principio:
"el rey no es soberano"
Resuena, Y los que sufren
Bendicen su pasión.
“It’s independence!” I shouted.
The world of America ,
The land of Columbus ,
Soaked in the blood of heroes
But this great principle,
The king is not sovereign”
It resonated, and the people who suffered,
I blessed their passion.

Se colma de despojos,
De sangre y llanto

En Bárbula no saben
Las almas ni los ojos
Si admiración o espanto
Sentir o padecer.
The bottom of the Orinoco River
It's piled high with plunder,
Blood and tears become like a river
It looks like it's flowing.
In Barbula,
Neither soul nor eyes,
Feeling fear or pain
That's something to admire.

A orillas del Caribe
Hambriento un pueblo lucha
Horrores prefiriendo
A pérfida salud.
!Oh, sí¡ de Cartagena
La abnegación es mucha,
Y escombros de la muerte
desprecian su virtud.
On the coast of the Caribbean ,
Starving people fight.
I prefer fear
To harm your health.
Oh, in Cartagena ,
Suffering is heavy,
And death leaves a trace
Despising her virtue.

Glory genius,
Every branch becomes a hero
He did not lose and became king.
A warrior without armor
won the battle,
Their brave breath
It became their shield.

Arranca en agonía
Y de su amor viuda

In pain, Virgin ,
All my hair has fallen out.
And her love was betrayed
He died by hanging in Cyprus .
covered with cold tombstones
But her hopes were regretted
But the glorious pride
It made her white skin holy.
Section 9
La Patria así se forma
Termópilas brotando;
Constelación de cíclopes
Su noche iluminó;
La flor estremecida
Mortal el viento hallando
Debajo los laureles
Seguridad buscó.
Our homeland was born
shining thermophila ,
One-eyed constellation
It brightened up the night.
Even though the flowers tremble,
I hope someday the wind will stop
under the laurel tree
I was looking for safety.
Section 10
Mas no es completa gloria
Vencer en la batalla,
Que al brazo que combate
Lo anima la verdad.
La independencia sola
El gran clamor no acalla:
Si el sol alumbra a todos
Justicia es libertad.
But it's not full glory.
Just winning the war.
The arm that fights in battle
I gain strength from the truth.
With only independence
The great cry never fades.
As long as the sun shines for everyone,
Justice is freedom.

Unlike most South American countries, which have experience with socialist- oriented governments,[11] Colombia is known as a country with a right-wing, conservative, and liberal political environment, with a particularly right-wing and liberal government in power. Usually, presidents were elected from the Liberal and Conservative parties, but in the 2000s, when Uribe, another conservative right-winger, was elected, the two-party system collapsed and the power of the two parties weakened. At that time, the Conservative Party and the Liberal Party were fighting and firing at each other. Still, except for the drug problem, this is a country with a multi-party system that operates quite well. The reason is obvious: it is the country closest to North America in South America. Perhaps that's why it is one of the countries in Latin America, along with Mexico , that hates the United States but is friendly with it . Given the Panama incident mentioned above, it is difficult to say that there is no anti-American sentiment.

For this very reason, it is also worth noting that it was the only country in South America to send UN troops to participate in the Korean War . Internationally, it is a member of the First World led by the United States and has a blood alliance with Korea. One battalion sent 5,000 combat troops, 163 were killed, 448 were wounded, 60 were missing, and 30 were taken prisoner. It is usually talked about as a group of 223 warriors. For more information, see Han-Call Relationship .

However, in general elections, even if they are right-wing, there is a pro-violence tendency, so candidates belonging to left-leaning political parties are elected to mayoral positions in Bogotá and Medellín , and overall, these two regions tend to have strong progressive tendencies.

Nevertheless, there is a lot of evidence that Colombia is quite friendly to the United States compared to other Latin American countries. Unlike other South American countries, Kosovo , along with Peru and Guyana , was officially recognized as a sovereign nation .[12] Moreover, in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, it supported the United States and Israel and did not recognize Palestine as a sovereign state, but belatedly recognized it as a state in 2018. So there are many US military bases. Additionally, in Colombia, the sense of unity between voters and political parties has traditionally been high, making it relatively difficult for socialist political parties to become established.

In any case, since the 2000s, when Alvaro Urabe, a hard-line conservative, came to power, and conversely, as left-wing (+ center-left) governments increased in many other Central and South American countries, conflicts in political orientation arose, and the large-scale eradication of rebels within the country had an impact on neighboring countries, resulting in diplomatic isolation due to conflicts with neighboring countries. # A representative case is the late Hugo Chavez of Venezuela , and there are many cases of border disputes with Ecuador while trying to resolve the drug problem. The attempt to eradicate rebels and drug cartels in the southern region resulted in a diplomatic dispute with Ecuador, as well as increased anti-Colombian sentiment due to refugees from southern Colombia flocking from Ecuador as well. In addition, the relationship with Venezuela was soured that the agricultural and livestock industry was hit hard for a while.

In the 2010s, the issue of diplomatic isolation was resolved as the Juan Manuel Santos administration actively sought to improve relations with neighboring countries, and it reached the point where it formed a coalition government with social democratic parties. Álvaro Uribe received close to 90% of support for a time based on the economic boom caused by the eradication of drugs, rising raw material prices, and foreign investment, but when a third term constitutional amendment failed, he nominated Juan Manuel Santos as his successor and was elected. However, Santos put forward peace negotiations as an election pledge, and after being elected president, he carried out peace negotiations, implemented policies to improve relations with neighboring countries such as Venezuela and Ecuador, and accepted several left-wing policies, which led to a falling out with Uribe. Ultimately, in the 2014 presidential election, Uribe supported Suluaga, creating a Santos VS Uribe structure. Here, Santos, who received support from the left, succeeded in being re-elected. Although he is recognized as an achievement in his own right by successfully negotiating peace with the rebel group FARC , he is receiving considerable criticism from hard-line conservatives, including former President Uribe. On April 3, 2016, Colombia's Constitutional Court ruled that same-sex marriage was constitutional, making Colombia the fourth country in South America to recognize same-sex marriage. #[13]

However, the referendum on the peace agreement, which ended the long-running battle with the left-wing rebel group FARC, was voted down. The opposition campaign in urban areas was unexpectedly weak and voter turnout in northern rural areas was low due to a typhoon, which was analyzed as a major cause. The overall voter turnout was also pointed out to be only around 37%. They hid their feelings for fear of giving the impression that they were opposed to peace if the results differed from the opinion polls. # In addition, the clause in the peace agreement that exempted FARC members who confessed to war crimes from imprisonment became a variable, and the focus on concluding a peace agreement alienated the victims and caused them to come to the polls, which became a factor in the defeat. Former President Uribe, a hardliner, still has supporters and is said to have put his political power on the line and planned it like Brexit. This rejection has expanded its position. #

Nevertheless, peace agreement negotiations resumed, and current Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his contribution to the peace agreement.

And on November 30, local time, the civil war with FARC ended as a new peace agreement with FARC was finally passed by the House of Representatives, but it was passed in a situation where opposition lawmakers boycotted it, and a peace agreement, a counter-demonstration of protests in favor of a peace agreement in front of the Capitol Counter-demonstrations were also held at the same time. Above all, this time it was passed by a parliamentary vote, not a referendum, and former President Alvaro Uribe and the opposition argued that "this is an act of disregard for the people and undermining democracy." Also, saying that the agreement is still lenient to the rebels, it seems that the pain will not boil for the time being by demanding a referendum and preparing for street demonstrations. Since the peace agreement was signed anyway, the rebels (FARC) left their garrisons and were relocated to dispersed camps across the country, disarmed under the supervision of UN inspectors, and started a new life as Colombian citizens.

However, peace has not yet come because the National Liberation Army (ELN), which is smaller than FARC, remains. Peace negotiations with the ELN will resume on January 10, 2017. Meanwhile, in 2017, as the bribery scandal of the Brazilian state-run oil company spread to neighboring countries, chaos was unfolding in the political world as Juan Santos and Suluaga, who ran against Santos in the 2014 presidential election, were suspected of receiving election funds from the Brazilian state-run oil company. President Santos' approval rating, which had previously been low due to the economic downturn, is low enough to rival Mexico's Peña Nieto and Brazil's Michel Temer . As of 2017, his approval rating is lower than that of Nicolas Maduro, who is criticized for his incompetence and trickery. If Nicolas Maduro's approval rating is approximately in the high 10% to low 20% range, President Santos' approval rating is in the low 10% range, and due to Winak's low popularity, there are predictions that there is a possibility that peace negotiations may be disrupted in the future after Santos leaves office. Of course, there are many who say that since the peace negotiations have progressed to the point of no return and Uribe's image has suffered due to the Brazilian construction company bribery case and the murder of his relative, the country will not be able to retreat to the level of an open civil war like before the 2010s.

However, as candidate Santos is predicted to fail to regain power in the 2018 presidential election, and there are predictions that a left-wing candidate from Bogota's mayor will face off against a right-wing candidate from the Democratic Center Party who wants to break the peace agreement, there is talk that the peace agreement could be broken if not careful. Although Uribe has been hit by a corruption scandal, he still has a significant base of supporters and there is anxiety about left-wing candidates, so as long as voter turnout is low, there is a good chance that a right-wing candidate supported by Uribe will win with a majority of the votes. Of course, left-wing candidates are popular among young people, but they tend to be subtly criticized by the media, and since they are former M-19 guerrillas, it is unclear how they will fare in the main vote, which also plays a big role.

Meanwhile, this country, like other South American countries, has a lot of corruption and is serious.[14] The central government is in collusion with various companies.[15] They are said to be not free from corruption charges, and are not only attacked by left-wing guerrillas and drug cartels, but also by right-wing militia members.[16] Because the central government's weak control is often exploited to build small societies in each region, many corruptions and scandals occur. This is why cocaine cultivation increased even though FARC disarmed.[17] And death threats are often made to politicians and voters, mainly to silence them or during election campaigns. Fortunately, the situation has also improved. However, threats or even death of human rights activists, social activists, journalists, and politicians who expose corruption are ongoing.[18] In addition, drug cartels and rebels, as well as local militias and politicians, are often involved, and the police often turn a blind eye out of fear or in exchange for money, so even when a crime occurs, it is often difficult to identify the suspect. As a result, journalists and human rights activists in this country are busy trying to save their lives, let alone participating in social movements.

In addition, due to the aftermath of a long civil war, it is considered one of the countries with the lowest voter turnout in Central and South America, along with Chile. The voter turnout in the 2018 presidential election was 54%, which is the highest figure in decades, showing how severely politically indifferent the country is.[19] Ivan Duque and Petro advanced to the finals, with Ivan Duque winning by a significant margin. The reason for this is that political parties that call themselves centrist tend to refuse to support Petro, and Sergio Fargio said that even though the race with Petro is quite close, they will have to vote on their own without saying that they support Petro, and the Liberty Party, which calls itself a centrist, also supports Ivan Duque, contrary to its previous party stance. Regarding this, there are rumors such as "Sergio Fargio is trying to overthrow Petro and become the opposition candidate" or "Is the Liberal Party taking bribes, so you are supporting a candidate different from the party's platform?" And in the general election, Ivan Duque recorded 54% of the vote, comfortably ahead of Petro by about 12% (2,000,000 votes) and became president.

However, even Colombia was unable to avoid the anti-American/leftist trend in South America as the leftist movement grew within the country due to the public sentiment caused by the long-term right-wing rule, and Gustavo Petro was elected in the 2022 Colombian presidential election.[20] Colombia's first left-wing president was born. However, even after the left-wing government came to power, the low approval rating and the global right-wing wind intensified again after the mid-2020s, and the far-right Abelardo de la Esprieya was elected again despite unfavorable conditions in the 2026 Colombian presidential election, bringing the first left-wing government to an end after four years.

5. economy

File:details ico...  more detailsColombia/Economy documentcastPlease note.
The Colombian economy is the fourth largest economy in South America , and agriculture, manufacturing, service, and energy industries are the main sectors. It is rich in natural resources, and exports of crude oil, coal, coffee, and flowers play an important role, especially Colombin Asan Coffee. In addition, the economic structure is diversifying and is growing in the finance and IT sectors.

The Colombian government has been promoting economic growth since the 1990s. It is activating trade by signing the FTA and attracting foreign investment, and expanding economic cooperation with the US, the European Union and Asian countries. However, in the process of economic growth, inequality and improving the labor market structure remain continuous.

The Colombian economy is highly dependent on the domestic market and exports, and is likely to be affected by changes in the global economy. International raw material prices, instability of global financial markets, and climate change are the main factors that affect the economy. In particular, the decline in crude oil prices and the decrease in global demand can have a negative impact on national finances and growth rates.

Colombia does not have Korean high school seniors . This is because elementary school is 5 years, middle school is 4 years, and high school is 2 years.[21]

Colombia is all adults ,[22] Virgin ascension[23] Some Catholic festivals are moving to Monday . What is not transferred is the Blessed Sympathy of Mary ( December 8 ) and the Lord's Christmas Day (Christmas, December 25 ). It is also a public holiday. As a result, Colombia has become the country with the largest number of holidays, including weekend holidays, among the 2018 FIFA World Cup countries. Korea is also ranked in 119 days. This country can be seen for three consecutive weeks, which are hard to see in other countries. In this case, only in June and July[24] The Lord's Resurrection Day can only be seen if it is April 12-17. There is no alternative holiday system, and there is no public holiday in February and September .[25]

Saber 11 is taken as a college entrance exam , and Universidad de los Andes is a representative university .

7.3. Safety

As part of the Colombian conflict, from the 1980s to the early 2000s, it boasted a high murder and crime rate and was considered the most dangerous country in the world, but the security situation is currently relatively improved compared to the past. As with other countries in Latin America , there is great variation in security by region, and crime rates tend to fluctuate. It is safe to say that you can travel to famous tourist destinations such as Cartagena , Salento, and Jardin without any problems. However, in some small and medium-sized cities such as Buenaventura , Tumaco, Quivdo, and Tulua, or in rural areas virtually controlled by armed groups,[26] The border area between the Pacific region and Venezuela is very dangerous, so it is essential to check the security information for the area you plan to visit in advance.

Large cities such as Bogota , Medellín , and Cali are visited by many tourists from all over the world, but they must be careful not to go to slums and avoid going out at night. It's a rare occurrence these days, but even if you go just outside of the city, people openly trade drugs in front of the police. What is shocking is that even though the police see the scene unfolding before their eyes, they do their best to ignore it, let alone crack down on it. There is only one reason to ignore it: if you touch it by mistake and get caught by a criminal organization , the police officer will be found dead a few days later . Fortunately, thanks to the good diplomatic relations between Colombia and Korea and the influence of the Korean Wave , the perception of Koreans is very good. There are already few East Asians in Colombia.[27] Since they are noticeable just by walking around the streets, there is no reason to commit violent crimes against Koreans unless they enter a slum . However, there is a possibility that they may be misunderstood as Chinese and become targets of racial discrimination or various misdemeanors .

As of 2024 , Colombia's murder rate per 100,000 people was 25.4, ranking third in all of Latin America after Ecuador and Venezuela . # If you look at the recorded murder rate alone, it is higher than Brazil (21.1 people) and Mexico (19.3 people). It also ranked 140th in the 2025 World Peace Index , the second lowest among American countries after Haiti . Since President Gustavo Petro came to power, the incidence of kidnapping crimes has increased significantly, and the power of major criminal organizations such as Clan del Golfo , ELN , and FARC anti-regime groups is also expanding further, raising concerns that the civil war may be re-intensified. # The number of new armed groups is also continuously increasing, and unlike in the 1990s, their activities in large cities are limited, but in rural areas outside the control of the central government, violence against civilians is reaching a serious level.[28] The practice of 'Casas de pique', which was prevalent in Buenaventura , Valle del Cauca, has recently expanded to other regions such as La Guajira, Magdalena, and Risaralda. # Venezuelan gangs, such as Trend de Aragua, have advanced into the border areas of the capital, Bogota, and Venezuela, and are committing various crimes against civilians.

As in other countries where security is unstable, the phenomenon of bereaved families and witnesses avoiding reporting even when a crime occurs for fear of retaliation from criminal organizations is also a problem. For example, in Quibdó, Chocó state, which recorded the world's second-highest murder rate per 100,000 people after Tijuana , Mexico, as of 2023, it is said that no one reports even when dismembered body parts such as fingers, feet, and heads are left on the streets in areas occupied by armed groups. # This is a chronic problem, and even in the capital Bogota in 2009 , according to a local NGO, it was estimated that about 90% of the families of forcibly disappeared persons did not report the incident. Furthermore, modern armed groups mainly carry out murders and enforced disappearances in remote rural areas, so the reporting rate is bound to remain low. # #

Therefore, let us keep in mind that although the number of people dying in droves has decreased compared to before, the country is still in the midst of a civil war. Large-scale national criminal organizations such as FARC-EP , AUC , and large drug cartels have disappeared, but their remnants are still active, and dozens of emerging armed criminal groups (BACRIM), such as ELN guerrillas and Clan del Golfo, which exert strong influence at the regional level , still remain. In 2024, the number of armed groups in Colombia was estimated at 184. # In the crime index report of the Global Initiative on Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC), Colombia was ranked second, right behind the Democratic Republic of the Congo . # In particular, it ranked first in the drug market sector. It will still be in second place in 2023. #

This country, like Venezuela , has an image of having many beautiful women . In a coffee commercial, Cha Tae-hyun said the line "Dónde está beauty?" while coming to Colombia, and Colombians and South Americans who saw this commercial immediately agreed. And the woman's Colombian accent is said to be friendly to Latin Americans, and the presence of a beautiful star like Shakira also adds to the image. However, prostitution is also rampant due to the image of many beautiful women and the lack of security . The problem is that most women start prostitution at the age of 9 to 11.

In this video , gangsters controlling the Medellin area threaten families with young daughters to select them as 'candidates' for prostitution, and immediately receive contact information from 14-year-old girls walking on the streets when they say 'they want to buy virginity'. . Even looking at an interview with the mother of an 11-year-old daughter who was selected as a 'candidate', it seems that cases of kidnapping are common .

Prostitution is legal in Colombia, but limited to designated areas and illegal elsewhere. Since Latin America itself has many areas tightly controlled by gangs, it is often carried out under the control of gangs. You can sometimes find guides to Colombian nightlife on the Internet, but prostitution in non-legal establishments can be dangerous.

Since 2023, eight foreign men who used dating apps in Colombia have died 'suspiciously', warning travelers. According to CNN , the U.S. Embassy in Colombia issued a travel warning for American tourists visiting Colombia . This means that people should be careful about meeting local women through online dating platforms such as Tinder and Bumble (hereinafter referred to as 'dating apps'). #

And despite the improvement in security, death threats against Haminton Campas are continuing, making it not as good as it was in the 1990s when Escobar died. It is a country where some areas are still advised to leave the country, and although it has actually improved, it is in the same condition as Ecuador and worse than Peru, and the cause of the security crisis in those two countries was the movement of Colombian gangs, so it is best to refrain from traveling to it.

7.4. language

The official language is Spanish , but the Spanish used in Colombia sometimes uses expressions that are different from those used in mainland Spain. However, among Central and South American Spanish countries, along with Venezuela , Ecuador , Bolivia , and Peru , it is a country that uses a Spanish language similar to that of mainland Spain, and is the second most populous country among Spanish-speaking countries.[29] Therefore, European Spanish is usually learned using the Spanish of Spain, the home country, as the standard, and Latin American Spanish is often learned using Mexican and Colombian Spanish as the standard. And since Native Americans live in Colombia, native languages are mainly used among these indigenous people. Palenquero, a Creole version of Spanish, is also spoken in Colombia , but the number of speakers is decreasing.

7.6. sports

Like a South American country, this is a country that lives and dies by soccer , but past World Cup results were more mediocre than expected. Until the 1970s, the World Cup consisted of 16 teams advancing to the finals.[30] , Until the 1980s, there were many cases where 24 teams advanced to the finals, so they failed to advance to the World Cup finals. For more details, refer to the Colombia national soccer team article. However, it is now one of the world's most recognized soccer powers, and at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, it advanced to the quarterfinals for the first time. Its status in South America is at the next tier after Brazil , Argentina , and Uruguay , and among countries that have never won a World Cup, it is evaluated as one of the countries with the potential to win the World Cup in the future after the Netherlands , Portugal , and Belgium . Of course, they are not an overtly strong team, so they have a lot of ups and downs and compatibility, and unusually, they are weak to the level of natural enemies against the Korean national team. Farid Mondragon , the oldest player to participate in the World Cup, is also from this country. The number of star players increased significantly in the 2010s, but has become less frequent since the 2020s. Famous soccer players include Carlos Valderrama , James Rodriguez , Radamel Falcao , Luis Diaz , Ivan Córdoba , Juan Cuadrado , and Mario Yepes , and as a side note, there is a soccer team of beautiful women in this country.

Back in the 1970s, baseball was considered a powerhouse, and there were quite a few major leaguers. In 1902, Lou Castro briefly played as the first Latin American player in the Major League after joining the National Association, and 72 years later, in 1974, Orlando Ramirez played for the California Angels for five years. Afterwards, Colombian infielders such as Edgar Renteria and Orlando Cabrera became established in the major league. In the 21st century, it is overshadowed by neighboring Venezuela , which produces the overwhelming majority of major leaguers, but it is still a South American country that occasionally produces major leaguers after Venezuela. Representative players include Julio Teheran, a starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves , and Jose Quintana, a left-handed rookie who signed a 5-year, 26.5 million contract (+ 2-year team option) with the Chicago White Sox on March 25, 2014. There is a secretly large baseball population, to the extent that famous soccer player Radamel Falcao said in an interview, “If I hadn’t played soccer, I would have played baseball.”[31] In Colombia, there is a winter league that is mainly operated in the northern region . Baseball is usually most popular in the northern part of the Caribbean, but except for the northern part, it is said that baseball is almost unpopular in Medellín and the south. Most of the players are from the Caribbean coast, including Cartagena or Barranquilla , and it is difficult to find players from outside the North. Still, it is a baseball powerhouse in its own right just because of its popularity in the North. Players who played in the KBO league include Sugar Ray Marimon .

I am good at inline skating . In particular, during Woo Hyo-sook's heyday in the 2000s, she competed with Korea for 1st and 2nd place in the women's world championships. She had no rival in the men's division. It is always unrivaled in first place in terms of overall score, and Colombia's current super strength in inline is still valid. At the 2018 Inline World Championships being held in Europe, Colombia ranked first with 30 gold medals, and Korea ranked second with 3 gold medals. Because of Colombia, Korea has been in a perpetual state of conflict. Inline athletes in the United States, Oceania, and Europe often do ice skating at the same time, but in Colombia, perhaps because it is a hot country, they only do inline sports. One of the reasons may be that the country is close to the equator, so the lowlands and coasts, where the climate is hot and humid, are sparsely populated, and most of the population lives in highlands above 1,000 meters above sea level where the temperature is moderate. The capital, Bogota, is 2,640 meters above sea level. Colombia's position in the inline can be thought of as similar to Kenya and Ethiopia in Marathon, which are also high altitudes. There is a huge difference in exercise endurance between people living in high mountain areas and people living in flat areas. Inline skating continues to attempt to enter the Olympics, and if it does, there is a high possibility that Colombia will sweep the medals. (There is inline skating at the Asian Games, but Colombia cannot participate, so it will be a two-way match between Korea and China.)

It's not well known, but it's also very popular in a great cycling powerhouse. Rigoberto Uran of the EF Education-Nippo team , Nairo Quintana of Akea-Samsik, who won the Giro-Vuelta overall , Egan Bernal, winner of the 2019 Tour de France and the 2021 Giro d'Italia, UAE Emirates sprinter Fernando Gaviria, and Team Bike Exchange's Esteban Chavez, won stages in the three major tours with World Tour-level players. There are many players strong enough to compete for overall victory. Mariana Pajon, known as the ‘ BMX Queen’ , is also from Colombia. In line with this, there are famous brands at least in Latin America, such as Safetti and Suárez.[32] , retailers, some of which, such as People For Bikes, are often multinational corporations . First of all, Colombia itself has many highlands. In addition, it is said that the country has become a cycling powerhouse because there are no highways and even if there are roads with automobile-only specifications, they do not block bicycle traffic, so training can be done anytime, anywhere.

"Assarabia ~ Colombia ~[33] There is an old pun called "Hoi hoi~". In this pun, if you change 'Colombia' to ' Bolivia ' or 'Moravia', which is the same form of 'bia', it is strangely out of focus. This is because phonetically , there are two consecutive same vowels in the 'colom' part and the articulation position of mb is easy to assimilate, so it is very comfortable to pronounce with 1-3 accents. 'Colombia' This is why even if you change the pronunciation to something like ' kantapiya ', it sticks to your mouth with a similar rhythm.

Infinite Challenge In the Yes or No special (episode 149/150), Yoo Jae-seok said, “ Coffee should go to Colombia,” and PD Kim Tae-ho responded, “When KOSPI reaches 2,000.” However, although KOSPI has exceeded 2,000, it may be difficult to go there because some large cities are designated as travel restricted areas. Still, areas that are far from drugs are designated as level 1 travel caution areas.

2024 On January 12 , heavy rains triggered landslides in northwestern Colombia, killing at least 34 people and injuring at least 20 others. It is reported that most of the dead were children. #

Strangely , .co, a ccTLD , is popular. The reason is unclear, but according to Urban Dictionary, it is explained as a very minor act of laziness, as it is not necessary to type the letter m in .com (or correction if the letter m is not typed with a missing letter?). There is also a theory that it is because it is used as an abbreviation for Corporation. For example, just typing apple.co or google.co will take you to this site, and unlike google.jp or google.hk, where you need to type google.com.co to use Google 's Spanish -speaking services in Colombia , .co(m) You must enter .(ccTLD) to fully use it in that language.[34] This is a unique case among Google language-specific sites.

Below is a list of sites using the .co domain. Excluding Colombia Spanish-speaking sites, of course.

[1] Large flowers with a diameter of 15 to 23 cm bloom in clusters of 3 to 4, and the flowering period is winter and is also called 'Christmas Cattleya'. The flowers are predominantly lavender in color, but other colors are also available.[2] #[3] #[4] #[5] Includes Bogota, the capital and core city .[6] In 2014, per capita GDP rose to the $8,000 level, but since 2015, per capita GDP has fallen to the $5,000 level, as the value of the Colombian peso has fallen due to the impact of falling raw material prices. It is similar to Peru.[7] Koreans are eligible for a 180-day visa exemption for tourism purposes in Colombia.[8] Costa Rica in Central America, which has a higher income than Colombia, also completed joining the OECD in 2021, later than Colombia.[9] Central and South America itself has a large gap between the rich and the poor, but the gap between the rich and the poor in Colombia is so severe that it is notorious for being the worst in South America along with Chile and Brazil. Since 2014, Venezuela's economy has deteriorated and its medical and welfare standards have plummeted, making it less prominent, but Colombia's education, welfare, and health care environment are also low. The situation is not very good. In particular, it is quite good for rich people and foreigners, but the problem is that for ordinary people without money, it is just a pie in the sky.[10] Repeat once more in the first refrain only.[11] However, this does not mean that there are particularly fewer strikes in Colombia compared to other South American countries (...). Logistics transportation is blocked due to a strike, something that happens once every two years.[12] Most countries in Central and South America, especially in South America, have a strong tendency to refuse to recognize Kosovo and support Serbia. See Kosovo/List of Countries Recognizing Independence .[13] Although Colombia's political landscape is conservative and right-wing compared to other South American countries, the Constitutional Court's rulings tend to be quite progressive and left-wing compared to the political structure.[14] It is much better than Venezuela, where the distribution industry has become like a business of overcharging or stealing items on the black market, but it is clear that it is a country with many corruptions and is serious in many ways.[15] For example, there are cases where the price of paper is set high and the price of books is higher than in the US, or local governments mess with garbage disposal. So, there are many absurdities related to this.[16] Of course, although it was officially disbanded, the opinion is that the organization itself still exists. Moreover, many of them are absorbed into cartel organizations that traffic drugs and commit crimes, which is a huge problem in Colombia as well.[17] To be more precise, FARC disarmed and withdrew from the drug business as a condition of becoming a legal political party, but gangsters from right-wing militias and other anti-government guerrillas took over the gap.[18] To some extent, an activist who helped Gustavo Petro's election campaign was murdered on July 5, 2018. Even those who helped influential politicians are on the verge of being killed, while other activists are literally risking their lives.[19] Only Brazil, Peru, and Argentina have compulsory voting, so voter turnout is very high in Central and South America, but politics is not clean at all and corruption is serious.[20] There was an unprecedented incident where even the right wing failed to advance to the finals.[21] As an aside, when Sohn Hak-gyu , a Korean politician, was a candidate for the presidential primary of the Grand National Party, he argued that Korea's elementary school year system should be changed from the previous 6-year system to a 5-year system like Colombia.[22] The original date was November 1st .[23] The original date was August 15th .[24] The first Monday is June 15-21, the second Monday is June 22-28, and the third Monday is June 29 - July 5 .[25] In April , May , and July , holidays appeared and disappeared.[26] Of course, the countryside is in the countryside, and there is a place where it is safe to hear the gunshot, like Boyaka and Kindio, and there are also woom areas where even the locals such as Arauka, Putuma, Gui Aré, and Baho Kaeca are reluctant. But overall, there are more dangerous places.[27] Especially in Colombia, there are very few Asians compared to the size of the country. Peru is a country with a very strong Asian influence, to the point where Chinese and Japanese words are borrowed from various words. Mexico , Panama , Chile , and Brazil also have large Chinese and Japanese populations. Guatemala and Paraguay also have a strong Korean influence, but Colombia has almost no Asians.[28] Relatively recently, in January 2025, the ELN offensive in the northeastern Catatumbo region resulted in at least 80 to 100 deaths and approximately 20,000 refugees. # According to a report from a local human rights group, it is presumed that Boksu among the victims were innocent civilians who were falsely accused of being former guerrillas. As such, killings and abuses of civilians by armed groups in small towns and rural areas are occurring so frequently that even several NGOs continue to issue warnings.[29] Among Spanish-speaking countries, the country with the largest population is Mexico .[30] Current size of the round of 16[31] Falcao is also from Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast.[32] Coincidentally, both entered Korea, but that was not long ago. In particular, South Korea was the first non-American country to enter Safetti.[33] Influenced by this, YouTuber Yako Red Underwear created a song called < Assarabia Colombia >.[34] ex. google.co.kr google.com.tw - google.tw google.kr does not work.
