1. outline
The 126th Emperor of Japan .
He is the eldest of two sons and one daughter of Akihito and Michiko Sangwang . On April 30, 2019, his father Akihito abdicated while he was still alive , and he was officially enthroned as the new Emperor on May 1 of the same year . The Daesangje (大嘗祭), a coronation ceremony , was held on the night of November 14th to 15th of the same year.[3]
He ascended to the throne at the age of 59, the second oldest person in Japanese history. The oldest emperor to ascend the throne is the 49th Emperor Konin , who was 61 years old when he ascended to the throne during the Nara period , and the third emperor is his father, Akihito , who ascended to the throne at the age of 55 .
On April 1, one month before his ascension to the throne, Shinzo Abe's cabinet held an extraordinary cabinet meeting and decided on the new era name Reiwa (令和) . The Reiwa era began on May 1, 2019. In the future, when Naruhito dies, he will be called 'Emperor Reiwa'.[4]
Akihito was also called the 'Emperor of Heisei' after his death, and during his reign, he was called by his real name 'Akihito' abroad and by his Majesty (陛下) and Emperor Kinsang (今上天皇) in Japan. Even after abdication, he is called by the title Sangwang (上皇) and is not called by his real name or era name until his death. Calling Akihito or Naruhito, who are still alive, the Emperor Heisei or Emperor Reiwa is the same as calling a living person 'Mr. OOO.'
The title he received as a child was Hironomiya (浩宮), a personal name and a kind of baby name given to the children of the Emperor and the Crown Prince. Coincidentally, he had the same title as his great-grandfather, Emperor Komei , the 121st Emperor . However, the kanji characters are different.
The sentence from the Japanese imperial family is Gao -dong. He had a king Aiko Nak -na -myeon with his wife, Empress Masako .

4.2. wife
It is also famous. He was married to Empress Masako , who was in love at first sight , for seven years of misconduct, and he succeeded in keeping you with all his strength . And he kept it consistently until his ability was reached . A typical example of the fraudulent remarks that gave birth to a great ripple in the Japanese imperial family in 2004 , as a press conference, "It is true that there was a movement to deny Masako's career or the character." By throwing a bomb remarks, he tried to check the palace of the wife.
Naruhito's then-Prince Crown Prince's "Negative Personality Statement" (人格否定発言) |
For Masako, I have been trying to adapt myself to the environment of the imperial family for 10 years, but it seems to have been tired. There was also a movement that seemed to deny Masako's career or Masako's personality. It's true (そのの 雅 子 の の リ リ
The wavelength of this remark was very large, and the Emperor was reprimanded through the Rungnae Office at the time of Akihito , and after this remarks, the prince replacement was boring. Of course, the prudent and wise Naruhito may not have been controversial that his remarks were debt. Knowing that he would shake his position, he thought that he had no choice but to speak to protect his wife. It is clear that Naruhito's affection is that whenever Empress Masako is a chance, he is grateful for her husband.
In fact, the facial expressions and actions shown when two people are together are so natural that they are difficult to express without affection and trust for each other. Considering that Naruhito's courtship ultimately plunged Empress Masako 's life into an abyss, it is not strange to feel resentful. This means that Masako recognizes Naruhito's affection and responsibility and is even more grateful.
On the other hand, the younger brother Akishinomiya family, who became a yellow dust, is that the family of Fumihito, the king of Mako , the king of Kako Nak , and the king of Hisahito are riding a separate car.

4.3. children
children | name | birth |
1 daughter | December 1, 2001 ( 24 years old) |
His affection for his precious daughter, Aiko Toshinomiya, whom he obtained with great difficulty, is also special. Naruhito's active participation in childcare was also a hot topic in Japan, where he became the first Japanese imperial family member to personally change her daughter's diaper , and the crown prince was also shown to be on vacation wearing a baby carrier himself.
Naruhito actively participated in parenting at an incredible level of conservative imperial successor, criticized for living 1,000 years ago.
He often spoke at the official press conference to think about how to raise the king of Aiko , and he talked hard, steadily, and often talked about his own parenting policy.
The Prince couple listened to the rhythmic gymnastics development course where parents and children were preschooled when King Aiko was a preschooler . At this time, Naruhito was busy with a lot of public duties that the couple should share, and to prevent the sound of the imperialists in the imperial and foreign seasons for the entire family, including the whole family.
Nevertheless, for his daughter, he spent all his things to his daughter and poured it into her daughter. The same is true after the Aiko Nak -myeon entered school, so when he took time, he was able to keep his daughter's back on the way, and he was able to keep the king of Aiko from the media's negative reports.
When I went out to see Naruhito, who was leaving abroad during the childhood video of Aiko's childhood, I was so crying as if I was crying. It is a scene. Of course, it is not only oysterya. When King Aiko refused to go to school, he persuaded his young daughter, who was anxious through a sincere conversation, "I must go now . " I made it eat.
Despite the fact that her parents' deep affection could easily lead to overprotection, they often gave her appropriate discipline, and as a result, Aiko Naechinwang, who grew up properly through discipline based on this affection , is highly regarded by those around her not only for her brilliant mind but also for her mature and polite personality.[6] In other words, it is a fairly ideal parent-child relationship that can be generally thought of .
Mr. Kikovi , who is a man, is overly protected by the king of Hisahito , and there is a rumor that the puberty , Hisahito, is a friend or a 15 -year -old older sister, who is 15 years old . There was a rumor that it was stiff. It is assumed that the nephew's nephew Aiko, who is looking at the University of Tokyo , is due to the impatience and compulsion that the son must be crowned as the emperor. Still, this is a childhood story that can be ironless.
Anyway, the best thing to see this is the chapter of Naruhito and Aiko's vans. Naruhito sits in the back seat, which is not a front seat that is noticeable and can be taken in the pictures of journalists . I thought I would quit when I became the emperor of Japan, but I think it will be this way in the same way when I went to Hwang -ger on May 11, 2019.

6.1. music
As part of his liberal arts education, he learned violin and viola from childhood , and among them, the viola is said to have the ability to rank first in the Gakushuin Amateur Orchestra . He still occasionally participates in chamber music or orchestral concerts , if not solo recitals .
![]() |
In 2007, he participated in the Korea-China-Japan joint chamber music concert called 'Building Bridges of Friendship' and performed Schubert 's piano quintet <Trout> with Korea 's Myung- Whun Chung ( piano ) and Ahn Dong-hyuk (double bass , principal of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra ), China 's Zhao Jing ( cello ), and Japan's Daishin Kashimoto (violin, concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra ) .
The photo above was taken during a performance in 2007, and the fourth violist from the left was Crown Prince Naruhito at the time. He also regularly participates and performs in the OB concerts of the Gakushuin Amateur Orchestra, and in 2013 , he became a hot topic when he played a viola made from old trees that died after being swept away by the tsunami during the Great East Japan Earthquake .
In July 2025, when he visited Mongolia, he showed his viola .

6.2. work out
There is a famous photo of Naruhito throwing the first pitch in a suit . It is a photo of the commemorative baseball pitch at the 70th Koshien Memorial Ceremony in 1988. He became the Crown Prince the following year, after his grandfather , Emperor Showa, passed away from a long illness and his father, Crown Prince Akihito, ascended to the throne at the time . ( Although he was effectively treated as a quasi- crown prince because Emperor Showa was critically ill ), he threw the first pitch as the eldest son of the Crown Prince and a mere member of the imperial family. However, the fact that a member of the direct line of the Emperor was throwing the first pitch caused quite a stir in Japan.
The hitter at the time was Toshihisa Nishi . Later, he went to Waseda University and worked for Nippon Life Insurance for a while before joining Yomiuri Giants in 1996 and retiring at the end of the independent league in 2010. I once ate rice with Lee Seung -yeop. Lee Seung-yeop even had a come-from-behind final two run in front of Naruhito at the Tokyo Dome during the 2006 WBC. At that time , Shigeo Nagashima, who wore number 33 when he was manager, and Tsuneo Watanabe, the owner of the club, also had an intuition.
Toshihasa said in an interview commemorating the 100th Koshien, "I was afraid that if I hit the ball thrown by the imperial family, I would be criticized for being disrespectful by the people around me." If you watch the video of the opening ceremony at the time, you can get the feeling that Nishi, the batter, intentionally swings the bat slowly a few beats late. In fact, in general, it is an unwritten rule to stay still without hitting or to swing the bat loosely when throwing the first pitch.[7]
Afterwards, he also attended the special opening ceremony of the 100th Koshien Garden in 2018 . There was no first pitch, only a commemorative speech. At that time, he attended with his wife, Empress Masako, and this was the first time Naruhito and his wife attended Koshien together. The heat was so extreme this year that even though the competition started at 9 a.m., the heat was so severe that Naruhito ended his speech briefly, lasting just about four minutes, out of consideration for the players and spectators.
However, because the people who gave speeches after Naruhito spoke for quite a long time, there was criticism in Japan that 'His Royal Highness the Crown Prince kept it short out of consideration for the players, but are you not paying attention?'
According to the testimony of Naruhito's alumni since I was in elementary school , I had played baseball with them when I was in elementary school. I also liked tennis , but this is a great influence of parents who like tennis. For reference, Naruhito mimics his father Akihito , but his younger brother Fumihito's king tends to play in a different way.
He also made kendo or climbing . Climbing is so affectionate about the mountains, as he walked on various mountains on the dormitory walls even when he was studying in England. Recently, he laughed with journalists. Thanks to that, the reason why Kiko Bee sent him to a rugged mountain with the Hisahito -pro -friendly king in 2019 was likely to be a newly -known purpose of creating a contact with Naruhito, who likes to climb. It is said to be degree.
As such, it seems that there is a lot of talent to use the body. After marriage, he often showed the scenes of exercising with Empress Masako, who loved exercise , and recently, he laughed while laughing with reporters, but in the special video of Naruhito 59 -year -old birthday, paralympic visual impaired medals In view of the fact that it does not give such a difficult color, the physical ability is quite good compared to age.

6.3. picture
I also liked photography very much, and when I had time at the time of studying in the UK, it was a job to play tennis with my friends or take a camera with a camera . When local correspondents took pictures to write articles about themselves at the time of studying in the UK, Naruhito had a testimony that he was considerate of his attitude and position to intentionally be taken.
After marriage, Naruhito's main subjects are called natural landscapes or families. When I visited Denmark in 2017, I took a selfie with a citizen and became a hot topic. #
While this influence, while being busy after being crowned, the Japanese imperial family, such as the European royal family, such as the Windsor dynasty of the United Kingdom through the acquaintances of the British dynasty , asked if it would be seriously reviewed by asking whether to disclose some of the lives of the royal family. In many ways, he has a progressive thinking.
In addition, the symbolic Emperor (天皇) is a dreamer who dreams of an imperial family open to the Japanese people . It was released through. During his overseas officials in Europe, he showed a simple and hairy appearance by taking a selfie with foreigners and uploading photos taken with him to the SNS of foreigners.

6.4. Animation and special photography
He really likes the Ultra series , which is not surprising since Ultraman was a trend among Japanese children when Naruhito was young . The first book he bought with his allowance was an Ultra Monster Encyclopedia, and he even went to an Ultra Seven event in person to reveal that he was a fan of the Ultra series. # The caption for the photo is amazing, aka “ His Majesty the Emperor, the only one in history to have worn Ultra Eye .”

A photo of him imitating Osomatsu-kun 's Iyami 's "Shhhhh" pose during his childhood was also discovered.
In addition, on December 18, 2019 , he attended a complete screening meeting in a corner of the world with the recommendation of King Aiko, who was interested in the anti -war peace movement on December 18, 2019, and the Emperor Naruhito, and the Empress Masako . He called himself, "How did you make this?"

6.5. Foreign language
Naruhito giving a speech in English |
Because he has two years of experience studying abroad, he can be seen talking about various things in English with foreigners at international academic and academic conferences, and even when he goes to New York, he can give speeches in English without difficulty. He was able to communicate with King Willem Alexander in English and Dutch , and when Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte visited Japan, he communicated only in Dutch except for official occasions. He was able to speak Spanish well enough to communicate smoothly with King Felipe VI of Spain . In addition, it is known that he is also studying German and French . #
Experts are regularly called in to study Spanish and French at Akasaka Institute. According to the testimony of a Spanish instructor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who teaches Spanish, the reason Emperor Naruhito wanted to learn Spanish was because he felt the need to learn Spanish before attending an international conference on water, a field of interest in Mexico , and requested the Imperial Household Agency to call in a relevant expert. As of 2019, it has been about 10 years since Naruhito learned Spanish, and he has never skimped on his studies and has shown himself to study seriously in everything. This passion for learning is not something that happened yesterday, but has continued to come out in the testimonies of various people since her days as a student at Gakushuin , and perhaps influenced by it, Aiko Naechinwang also shows a very serious attitude towards her studies.

- If you look at the 1 minute 51 seconds and 3 minutes 51 seconds of the wedding ceremony video, you can see that he has a clear and cool voice that is as good as that of a voice actor or announcer , and he speaks as well as a clear water flow. Considering that his mother, Michiko Sangangfu, is also famous for her beautiful voice, it seems like a family match.
- It has now been corrected, but the previously uploaded photo showed her with all white hair rather than parting, but the photo was taken on January 26, 2010 at the UN University in Tokyo , Japan , and she usually has parted hair.
- There are many stories about his resemblance to Korean politician Won Hee-ryong . He also looks quite similar to actor Kim Eung-soo .[8]
- In 1976, I visited Koma Shrine (高麗神社, Goryeo Shrine), where the kings of Goguryeo are enshrined as deities, and paid my respects.
- It is said that while studying abroad in England, he liked Brooke Shields so much that he hung a picture of her on the wall of his dormitory next to a mountain photo. An American friend from his time studying abroad, who knew this well , helped Naruhito meet Brooke Shields, who came to his house when Naruhito visited the United States after finishing his studies abroad in 1985. After that, I met Brooke Shields when she visited Japan in 1990.
Then, a foreign reporter once asked Naruhito if he had any intention of proposing to Brooke Shields, and Naruhito directly answered neatly, "From my standpoint, I will not marry a foreigner." From the beginning, Naruhito was in love with Masako Owada , and considering Naruhito's position as a crown prince and not just a royal king, there was naturally no way for him to proceed with such unconventional marriage talks. It's just something fans like, but the relationship between men and women is a completely different issue, but the media just threw in an unreasonable number for the sake of gossip.
- Unexpectedly, the amount of alcohol is amazing . It is said that while drinking more than half of the alcohol on display at the bar, all the other people at the table were drunk and did not become distracted until the end of the table.
It is said that his brother Fumihito was drunk so much that he was distracted when he married before him. It is said that he was drunk when he was drinking while celebrating his brother's marriage since childhood. However, after the marriage of Naruhito, the quarrel that succeeded in the Huang was inherited, and the brothers began to break rapidly .
However, after marriage, I generally stopped drinking. It was to be considerate of her wife, Empress Masako, who could not drink at all. However, if you look at the report that he often drank alcohol with attendants after marriage, it seems that he did not quit completely and enjoyed himself a little, but restrained himself as much as possible when he was with his wife and daughter.
- At the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he gave an opening declaration and a brief speech, and like the 2018 Koshien speech he gave when he was the crown prince, he gave a very short, simple and clear speech, and many people admired him by saying, "As expected, Your Majesty the Emperor." However, right after that, IOC President Thomas Bach gave a huge speech and received a lot of criticism, just like the Koshien opening ceremony above. Moreover, due to various mishaps afterward, Naruhito did not attend the closing ceremony, and the Japanese government officially decided to support England (London) rather than Bach's home country, Germany (Berlin), in the bid for the 2036 Olympics . It could be an expression of the imperial family, the Liberal Democratic Party, or the fact that they are very angry because of Bach's rudeness. However, both Germany and the UK have currently postponed their bid to host the 2040 Olympics.

[1] It is commonly known as a doctoral degree, but this is an error resulting from confusion between the master's and doctoral degree systems in Korea and Japan. In Japan, completion means graduation, and in Korea, permanent completion, commonly called completion , is called maturity expulsion. Therefore, completing the doctoral program is the same as graduating with a master's degree, and Naruhito's final academic degree is a master's degree.[2] He studied history at Oxford University Merton College and received his Ph.D. in honorary law in 1991. His wife, Masako, also studied international relations at the Bailier College of Oxford University, and received his Ph.D.[3] The coronation procedure is roughly as follows. First, a temporary palace called Daesanggung (大嘗宮) was built near the imperial palace. And on one night in November, the newly crowned emperor enters the Grand Palace, offers agricultural and fishery products collected from all over Japan to the imperial goddess Amaterasu (goddess of the sun), and spends the night there. The grand festival is a type of thanksgiving, meaning that the new emperor eats grains from all over Japan along with the ancestor goddess Amaterasu . It is very important at the national and religious level because only through the grand ceremony can the new emperor acquire 'religious (divine) authority' as emperor. The grand festival is defined as an important national ancestral rite in Japan, and the Japanese government provides full (free) support from the national treasury for the related budget. Some Japanese leftists protest that this is a violation of the principle of separation of government and government .[4] However, just as Emperor Showa is often called overseas by the nickname 'Hirohito', which is familiar to the public even after his death, it is highly likely that Naruhito and Akihito will continue to be called by their nicknames.[5] In Korea, it is the same ceremony as a coming-of-age ceremony .[6] When King Aiko had anorexia right now, the same classmates rejected all the persistent interviews of the weekly magazines, saying, "We must come out and keep the king of Aiko!" He did not catch a flaw and praised him.[7] In the past , there was a time when Lee Jong - beom dared to hit Jang Na-ra's pitch and almost hurt Jang Na-ra, and for this reason, Lee Jong-beom had to receive considerable criticism .[8] For reference, all three are similar and have a daughter. In particular, Kim Eung -soo is only one year old from Naruhito, and there is something in common that there is a lot of age differences. In fact, Kim Eung -soo has been an actor in Japan as a young man, so he is fluent in Japanese and has played a Japanese character.[9] Naruto Uzumaki is the 7th Hokage .
