Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Vermland

Prince of Sweden . He is the second son and eldest son of Carl XVI Gustav and Queen Silvia .

When he was born, he became crown prince according to the Swedish constitution, which states that only men can inherit the throne, but in 1980, when the constitution was revised to the absolute primogeniture system and applied retroactively, his older sister Victoria became crown princess, and Carl Philip was moved down to second place in the line of succession.

The children belong to the royal family (Kungliga Familjen) but not to the royal family (Kungliga Huset) and do not have the honorific title of Royal Highness.
