2. career
1933 Jeollanam-do Born in Gwangju . After graduating from Gwangju Seo Middle School and Gwangju High School , 1953 He entered the Department of Political Science, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Seoul National University .[1] After graduating from college, he passed the 10th Higher Examination for Public Administration in 1958 and entered the public service.
After joining the Ministry of Finance , he held positions such as the Accounting Inspector of the Board of Audit and Inspection and the head of the Gimpo Customs Office .
In 1970 , he was selected as Director Lee Jae-guk, one of the representative positions of the Ministry of Finance . The problem was dealt with directly.
He served as an economic tutor to Chun Doo-hwan , then the commander of the Security Command, for three months in the summer of 1979 before the military coup of December 12 , and after Chun Doo-hwan took power in 1980, He was appointed as Vice Minister of Finance and promoted to Minister of Energy and Resources in the same year.[2] During his tenure as minister, he suffered humiliation in 1981 when the unfair profits made by briquette companies through the supply of low-quality briquettes became a social problem.
After retiring as minister in 1982 , he was appointed head of the Securities Supervisory Service and returned to his field of expertise, the financial industry. He served for about 7 years until 1988, contributing to the advancement of the Korean stock market, which had remained in a rudimentary state.
After retiring as the head of the Securities Supervisory Service, he served as the chairman of the Korea Non-Life Insurance Association and an advisor to the Dong-A Group . passed away in 2000 .
