A former government official in the Republic of Korea . He is the head of Jaeryeong.

2. career

Gyeongsangbuk -do in 1949 Born in Andong -gun . Seoul National University College of Education (19 times), Seoul National University Department of Electronics Engineering, Seoul National University , Graduate School of Public Administration , the United States He graduated from George Washington University Graduate School of Business Administration and Ph.D.

In 1972, he passed the 12th Administrative Examination and worked as a national official at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry . From December 2003 to February 2006, he served as Minister of Industrial Resources . Since then, he retired and served as chairman of the Korea Trade Association and President of the Korea Management Association .

Since then, he served as the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Organizing Committee Chairman, and was also appointed as a representative of the evaluation committee for the 2026 Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics .

In June 2020, he was inaugurated as the president of the Seoul National University Alumni Association, and in January 2021, he was appointed as the CEO of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Cultural Foundation. On January 24, 2023, he was inaugurated as the chairman of the Booyoung Group .
