23 NİSAN MARŞI (March for April 23)

Sanki her tarafta var bir düğün.
As if a party was held at a hot spring resort
Çünkü, en şerefli en mutlu gün.
Because it is the most honorable and happiest day
Bugün yirmi üç Nisan,
Today is April 23rd
Hep neşeyle doluyor insan.
Everyone is full of joy.

İşte, bugün bir meclis kuruldu,
Here, today the National Assembly is established,
Sonra hemen padişah kovuldu.
Then straight away drove out the Padishah
Bugün yirmi üç Nisan,
Today is April 23rd
Hep neşeyle doluyor insan.
Everyone is full of joy.

Bugün, Atatürk'ten bir armağan,
Today is a gift from Ataturk,
Yoksa, tutsak olurduk sen inan.
If it weren't for him, we'd all be enslaved. Believe me too.
Bugün yirmi üç Nisan,
Today is April 23rd
Hep neşeyle doluyor insan.
Everyone is full of joy.
