In December 1938, he was promoted to the 5th place, and was a director of the Jeonbuk Operation Association from January 1939 to February 1941. In addition, from February 1939 to April 1939, he led five members of the Jeollabuk -do Provincial Association, and the Japanese Imperial Army soldiers were stationed in Shanghai , Hangzhou City , Nanjing City , and Qingdao City under the Provisional Government of the Republic of China . He retired from public office in October 1946 and opened a practice as a lawyer in Daegu , Gyeongsangbuk-do. He also entered politics by joining the Korean Democratic Party and becoming a member of the Supreme Council of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Party. In the 3rd National Assembly election in 1954 , he ran as a candidate for the Democratic National Party in the A constituency of Yeongcheon - gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, but was elected to the Liberal Party. He was defeated by candidate Kim Sang-do . At this time, as there were many cases across the country of people being arrested by the police on various charges for helping the opposition candidate's election campaign, he asked during the election campaign, "Please don't applaud. In 1955, he participated in the founding of the Democratic Party, belonged to the new faction, and served as the Gyeongsangbuk-do chairman of the Democratic Party.

In the 4th National Assembly election in 1958 , he ran as a candidate for the Democratic Party in the constituency of Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk -do. At the time of the first vote count, he received 13,677 votes (38.44%) and was defeated by Liberty Party candidate Lee Woo-jul, who received 14,355 votes (40.34%). However, immediately after the vote count , he filed a motion to preserve evidence and requested the court to temporarily seize the ballot box, alleging that there had been vote counting irregularities . did . Accordingly, through a recount on July 19, 1958 , it was revealed that Candidate Lim Moon-seok actually won over Candidate Lee Woo-jul by about 2,800 votes. Candidate Lee Woo-jul's election was ruled invalid by the Supreme Court , and Lim Moon-seok became the winner.

In the 1960 5th National Assembly election, he ran as a Democratic candidate in the same constituency and was elected.

Dong-gu, Daegu- si, Gyeongsangbuk-do as Democratic Party candidate in the 6th National Assembly election in 1963 He ran for office in the district , but he ran for the Democratic-Republican Party. He was defeated by candidate Lee Won -man. In 1966, he left the People's Party and participated in the founding of the New Hand Party , serving as a member of the New Hand Party's political affairs committee. In 1967, he joined the New Democratic Party again. In the 7th National Assembly election in 1967 , he ran in the same district as a candidate for the New Democratic Party, but was defeated by Lee Won-man, a candidate for the Democratic Republican Party.

Afterwards, he retired from politics and served as president of the Kyungpook National University Support Association.
