In the second half, he gets hit by Red's water cannon and gets stuck in the fence, retiring.
As a side note, J. Kirby Gremlin seems to bear a strong resemblance to Don Crumlin, who has the same paint job.

Don "Rus" Don Crumlin

At the beginning of the movie, when Finn is discovered, he chases him, but when he almost reaches the top, Finn drops a drum and attaches a bomb to it, so he climbs up to catch him, but is swept away by the explosion and dies like the other lemons.
