3. evaluation
“Dancing Queen,” the second track of the album “Arrival” released in April 1977 and ABBA’s only US number one song, is considered one of the best pop records of all time. Like many of the best pop records of all time, this song also has multi-layered meaning. Superficial beauty and emotional depth depend entirely on the listener's ears. For some, it is a cry of joy full of liberation. For others, it is a cry from the abyss of sadness. The first human sound detected in this song is “Ooo-ooh!”, exhaled with a drawn-out breath. It could be a coo like a pigeon, or it could be a suppressed sob. It's probably a song about someone who wants to be Esmeralda but knows she's Quasimodo. A painful dream about the outside world imagined by someone trapped indoors. A “dancing queen” could be a young woman isolated in her bedroom. She's too scared, too shy, and almost convinced she's ugly enough to go out on a Friday night. Her only happiness is the unrealistic fantasy that she can find love among the beautiful people on the dance floor. In its darkest reflections, directed by Bergman and starring Garbo, "Dancing Queen" is a song about the loneliest girl in the world. It’s a song like “How Soon Is Now?” dressed up as “Rock Your Baby.” |
It is the undisputed representative song of ABBA and is considered one of the best pop songs of the 70s. It is recognized as a historic pop record, to the extent that it is always ranked high in numerous media outlets, not only in terms of popularity but also in terms of artistry.

6. lyrics
Dancing Queen You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life. Dance, you can jive, having the greatest time ever. See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen. Look at that girl, that look, I'm in love with the dancing queen. Friday night and the lights are low. Friday night after dark Looking out for the place to go. I'm looking for a place to go. Where they play the right music, getting in the swing A place where good music flows and swings You come in to look for a king You come in looking for a king Anybody could be that guy Anyone can be the man you're looking for. Night is young and the music's high The night is not deep and the sound of music resonates With a bit of rock music, everything is fine. Everything is cool with rock music. you're in the mood for dance. You're in the mood to dance. And when you get the chance... If you are given that chance... you are the Dancing Queen, you will be the dancing queen young and sweet , only seventeen. Young and lovely, still 17 Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine Dance queen feeling the beat of the tambourine You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life. Dance, you can jive, having the greatest time ever. See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen. Look at that girl, that look, I'm in love with the dancing queen. You're teaser, you turn 'em on You tease and excite men leave them burning and then You're gone Excite them and leave. Looking out for another, anyone will do Find someone else, anyone is fine you're in the mood for dance. You're in the mood to dance And when you get the chance... If you are given that chance... you are the Dancing Queen, you will be the dancing queen young and sweet, only seventeen. Young and lovely, still 17 Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine Dance queen feeling the beat of the tambourine You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life. Dance, you can jive, having the greatest time ever. See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen. Look at that girl, fall in love with that look, the queen of dance. dig in the Dancing Queen. Fall in love with the dance queen. (You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life. Dance, you can jive, having the greatest time ever. See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen. Look at that girl, fall in love with that look, the queen of dance.)[3] |
6.1. Korean musical version lyrics
[1] This day was June 18, 1976, the day before the wedding with the king and the queen. For reference, this performance was also the first time that the dancing queen was released to the world. After the song, the members expressed their example to the right of the screen, and the camera illuminates the Swedish royal family. The men and women of the rear columns are Queen Silvia's father, Walter, Mulat and mother Alis Somulat. The king's father was an airplane accident, his mother was cancer, his grandfather lived up to 90 years old, and handed the throne to his grandson after death. In the case of both grandmothers, the first was infection in surgery, and the second was the aftermath of the heart attack.[2] You can tell from the constant appearance of words such as Queen, King, and Dance, but the subject of this song is a prom party that is only found in North America and not in Europe .[3] Movie Mamma Mia! OST only
Venom: This song comes from the last dance.
