1. outline
2. growth background
Carlin's paternal grandfather was from Jeolla-do.[6] His father , Park Geun-sil, was from Busan and was an elite student from a wealthy family who went to study at a university in the United States in the 1950s when the entire country was devastated by the Korean War .[7] While in college, I met Kalin's mother, Irene, who was from a Lithuanian immigrant family who immigrated to the United States when she was 5 years old. At the time of his appearance as Knee-Pumping Guru, Carlin said that even though his father was Asian, he was 184cm tall and had a sturdy physique.[8] He stood out especially among students at school, and it is said that their relationship began after their mother sang Arirang in front of their father to make fun of him. It is said that they also shared something in common: their country went through war and they were both strangers who moved abroad .
Of the three sisters they met, the youngest, Carlin, was born in the United States and came to learn Korean.[9] My family moved to Busan with my father when I was 3 years old, and I lived in Busan until I was 10. I moved to the United States when I was in the 4th grade of elementary school to learn English again, and I studied in LA. Grew up in the Hollywood area. During my high school years, I attended Gyeongnam Girls' High School in Busan for one year.[10] I went back to the United States and graduated from high school and the California Institute of the Arts (majoring in classical cello). He then came to Korea and majored in Korean traditional music composition at Seoul National University Graduate School of Music. Since then, I have been living in Korea.
It is an American and living in Korea for a long time in Korea[11] Both English and Korean are fluent, but sometimes the Korean pronunciation is a bit unclear, and it feels like a slightly mixed tone of Western -style tone in Korean tone. Representatives are frequent use of 'UMM ...' or 'OK'.
Having grown up in the Busan area early on, he is familiar with the Busan-style Southeast dialect and the culture of the region . originally from Busan He used a dialect , but after acting in Korea, he said he came to speak standard language . She was a disciple of Park Dong-jin , a master pansori singer. In fact, Park Dong-jin tried to make her his direct successor of pansori, but it was not possible because her carlin was a foreign national. However, Park Kalin said, "I don't know what it has to do with you being a foreigner," Park Dong-jin's words eased everything. In her Knee Pak Taoist, she said that if that had happened, she would have fallen very deeply into the path of pansori .
According to her recollection, when Park Dong-jin met her for the first time, it is said that he said, "Ah, you two speak Korean very well." At the time, she was majoring in Korean traditional music at the Department of Korean Music at Seoul National University. She attended a traditional Korean music performance held in Hawaii as an interpreter for Korean traditional music figures . Park Dong-jin, who did not even know that she majored in Korean traditional music, suddenly said, "You have to sing to write." It is said that he made her his disciple.
In other words, Bakcalin majored in both classical music and Korean traditional music and grew up traveling between the United States and Korea . Broadcasting , book, and interviews When I talked about Los Angeles , Lithuania , and Busan , I turned around three places and said my hometown . It is a TCK that grew up experiencing all the cultural backgrounds of the three countries .

[1] Kolleen is said to be a name that means Irish girl. It appears to be derived from 'Cailín', which means girl in Irish. If you read it in English, the pronunciation is closer to somewhere between 'Colin' and 'Carlin'. In reality, Colleen is the common spelling, but since all of Colleen's older sisters' names start with K, it is said that she changed the letter C to K.[2] He participated under this name at the MBC College Song Festival in 1989 . However, it is not a legal name.[3] It is a party to the murder case to be described later.[4] I moved to the US when I was 11 years old.[5] After attending school for a year, I returned to the United States.[6] Appeared on TV Chosun’s Alumni Tour and mentioned it[7] At that time, there were about 20 international students. Christmas cards at the time Syngman Rhee was sent directly to international students.[8] Even now, it is a very tall axis, but at the time, the average height of Americans was about 173cm, and the average Koreans was less than 165cm.[9] The reason is that as an ESL (English As Second Language) teacher, mothers who have experienced language education wanted their children to be good at Korean and English . At the time, when there was no Gimhae International Airport in Busan, a mother who did not know Korean at Haeundae -gu Suyeong Airfield first brought her three daughters alone without her husband to see her mother -in -law first.[10] After visiting Korea during the vacation, my sisters returned to the United States, but Kalin remained alone He insisted on going to high school and insisted on. When I moved to the United States in Korea when I was 11 years old, I suffered a cultural shock , but when I was in Busan, Gyeongnam High School, I was surprised by the shock of cultural shock again because it was so different from American schools. At the time, English teachers were very nervous about entering English classes because of Kalin.[11] Surprisingly, he lived in Korea much longer than the United States. In this regard, it is similar to Jonathan , Leo Lanta , and Gujal Turutoba, who lived much longer in Korea than in Korea . However, there is a difference that those three people have no Korean lineage, unlike Bakcalin.[12] As an aside, the grand prize winner at that time was Jeon Yuna , who later became popular with the song 'Even While I Love You' . She later appeared in Yuna Jeon's Burning Youth , and she even mentioned that Carlin Park was in the college song festival the same year as her. For reference, both of them are from Busan.[13] He is the person responsible for all aspects of music in musicals. A position so important that he has the authority to cast actors along with the director and production company. The right to cast performers and ensembles rests entirely with the music director. Before performances, he teaches the songs to the actors and musicians, and usually conducts during live performances.[14] At this time, Kim Hee-gap was already the best composer and Park Kalin was only in his late 20s.[15] Until the 2014 season, he served as music director, and after that, music director Oh Min-young took over as the music director and conductor of Chicago. In the 2018 Chicago Press Call, it was said that he served as the music director of Chicago until 2013, but it seems that the moderator said it wrong, seeing that it is written in the introduction of Chicago in 2014 that it is a 14-piece big band led by Carlin Park.[16] Later, on Radio Star, he revealed that he thought it was right to do only until season 1.[17] It is said that only after Lithuania officially independent in the Soviet Union in the 1990s , it was possible to visit.
