He was drafted in 1992 through the rookie draft. However, while his motive Ahn Byung- won showed 10 wins from the first year of his debut, he did not start a single game in the first team for two years. In 1994, after his professional debut, he first came to the first team, and his performance that year was 6 games, 1 loss, ERA 13.50.
Afterwards, after serving in the military from 1996 to 1997 , from 1998 to 2007 , he pitched mainly as a left-handed one-point relief .
2008 After Hyundai Unicorns disbanded, he was taken over by Woori Heroes, but he failed to pitch in a single game that year and was eventually released during the 2008 season along with Jin Pil-joong .
Currently, he is working as an away scorer for Kiwoom Heroes .
His career record is 234 games, 1 win, 2 losses, 1 save and 7 holds, and an average ERA of 4.77.

- Looking at his overall performance, he was nothing more than an ordinary middle-of-the-road pitcher, but he has a record that will remain in the history of Korean professional baseball. He has not lost a game in 164 games since the Hanwha match on September 26, 1999 .[1] In 2002 and 2004, he only provided one-point relief and had a low ERA. It recorded 0.00 .
- Kim Min-beom also had the record for the longest game ever (36 games) without an ERA and the record for the most consecutive appearances without a loss .[2]
- It is also the player who digested the most games and innings among the players who finished the season with an average ERA of 0.00.[3]
- The only one win was recorded against SK Wyverns at Sungui Baseball Stadium on June 15, 2000, and at the end of the 7th inning, he faced only one batter with 2nd out and 3rd base, and became the winning pitcher with a score from the other line.
- His son, Kim Do-hoon, is also playing baseball, and his position is pitcher. However, unlike his father, who is left-handed, his son is right-handed. He graduated from Dongsan High School, but was not nominated as a pro, and moved on to Howon University in 2022.

[1] For reference, in that game, Hanwha succeeded in sweeping Hyundai in a three-game series, and through these three games, Hyundai, ranked third in the Magic League, was ahead of Hanwha, ranked second in the Dream League, in winning percentage, making it a game that played a decisive role in Hanwha's victory in the 1999 season.[2] This record was broken on April 13, 2021 by Samsung Lions left-handed hitting specialist Lim Hyun-joon .[3] 18 games in 2004 and 10 innings in 2002, respectively.
