Chungcheongnam-do It is a myeon located in Asan city . Dunpo-myeon , Yeongin- myeon , Yeomchi-eup , Tangjeong-myeon , Cheonan-si It borders Seonghwan- eup , Jiksan-eup , Chaam-dong , Baekseok-dong , and Buldang-dong .

During the Joseon Dynasty , it had jurisdiction over 16 ri in Ildong- myeon, Asan-gun, but in 1914, due to the Japanese administrative district reorganization, 16 ri in Idong-myeon and Gongsu-ri in Hwanseong-myeon, Cheonan-gun were merged and called Eumbong-myeon after Asan's name during the Three Kingdoms period, 'Eumbong'.
